He did lose possession of the ball going up. But it looked like he regained it prior to crossing the goaline with his feet scraping the ground, but thats what I saw

It was a good call Cali, Griffin lost control of the ball for just a split second when he dove. What I didn't notice when I watched the replay the first time is that he let go of the ball when he hit the ground. If he hadn't let go it would have been a TD.

Moss is a moron.

It's not just the refs who make that call, Country

The reason it doesn't go by the broke the plane with possesion rule doesn't go into effect is because of the forward fumble rule (see Dave Casper and Oakland Raiders a million years ago.) He had to possess the ball to the ground, when he hit the ground the ball came loose again which made it a good call by the replay official. At least that is how I understand it.

The refs called TD, the replay official overturned the call.

He lost the ball for such a short time it might not have been noticed if not for replay.
