Game Thread: Redskins @ Falcons Preseason Week 1

So a little game talk. I realize its the first preseason game, but we look a little sloppy on both sides of the ball. Dunbar looked lost on that last deep pass he gave up.

1st team D looked good. can't really grade the first team offense. missing too many key players. 2nd team secondary not looking good.

First teamers basically played well other than the penalties which costed them great field position. Otherwise, it's a good thing these games don't count in the standings. Tress Way is looking pretty solid too.

Very disappointed in our run game. I was not impressed with either the run blocking or the running backs. I hope this comes around, but I've always thought this was our weakness. Don't care how big a threat our passing attack is, if we pose no threat to run, it will have a ripple effect on our ability to pass.

I actually paid for the NFL Game pass. Only because I realized it would let me watch the preseason games, and all the other games without eating half my DVR space. And it also gives me the option to watch last years game to compare how guys looked last year vs this coming season. Not a horrible deal for $99

I missed the game but it looked like Cravens did well. He had 2 TFL and a PD.

I went to the game. Cravens balled out, sir. They had him playing MLB for an extensive amount of time. Every play he made was caught my attention. One of those TFL was so impressive, you'd have thought he was in the Falcon's huddle, pre-play. The ball was snapped and he jetted directly towards the ball-carrier and made the play. I was shouting in the stands, amongst a sea of Falcons fans. He also made a great open-tackle on ST, which you forgot to mention. He's gonna definitely be a star.
