Don't sell me dad, Case f'n sucks balls!!! Rosen however, is still available. His jersey's are now 1/2 off at the team store. No way am I going to watch Case f'n Keenum QB our team. Not worth the watch imo.

That would have been a smarter move IMO since the Cards are gonna take Murray.....Rosen is going to be very good one day.

3.5 million for Keenum?

He signed a 2 year deal with Denver for just south of 40 million.....

Add a young stidham in round 3 to groom and we are at least moving forward, at worst stidham is a viable BU.

Good post !

I think we’ve been moving forward since the firing of McCloughan two years ago. The Skins have some very talented player personnel evaluators on staff, and the last two drafts show that.

I like Stidham and watched him play quite a few games here in SEC country the last two seasons…but, I wouldn’t use a 3rd on him unless our personnel department absolutely believe he has the potential to be a future starter for this team. If not, we will use our 3rd round picks to solidify depth and players that will contribute to the 2019 team.

Here's why Redskins trade for Case Keenum was a smart move, could actually turn into Josh Rosen

After reading this article & thinking about this a bit - I am fine with this move. The Redskins could still make a move for Rosen & very likely will draft a QB in this draft. Keenum is at worst a low $$, low risk move that gets them over the hump while they plan for the future. I have no real hopes for the upcoming season so IMO it can't really hurt them.

As usual several of the morons at places like ESPN badmouth this move (& still refuse to use the name REDSKINS), but they pretty much badmouth every move by this team (often justified) & most of them know just about nothing about football.

Keenum is good enough to make a run to the playoffs . He needs talent around him but he was on a Viking team that went 11-3 with him and to a nfc title game . Most of his career he has been on bad teams .

Yes we still need a long term qb but we can wait on one now

Maybe he helps - maybe he doesn't - maybe he is not even on this roster in the regular season (depending on future moves). IMO - doesn't matter. The cost is cheap & won't set them back much. At best he does as you suggest. At worst - he is an afterthought while they transition to the future.

They have to start making better salary decisions long term if this team has any prayer moving forward. At least be happy that thus far they have not further handcuffed this team salary wise by acquiring say another high profile QB or Antonio Brown.

Not a bad trade at all, as far as I’m concerned. I’ve got to give credit to the one to pull it off. Even if it is Bruce. I guess even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while

Most of our help will come from the draft

Ya'll do realize Keenum will be Colt's backup right? If Colt stays healthy he is the starter.

I wouldn’t etch that in stone just yet . It’s likely for sure but it’s far from a given

It's extremely possible that what we'll see with these guys (Colt and Case) will be times where each backs up the other. Although each is better than Shane Matthews and Danny Wuerffel, I think what we get is some modern day form of this former duo.

Yep & who knows. Depending on other moves at QB either one of them could possibly not be on the roster come September. We will see.

This is why the qb job is up for grabs in my opinion

Now I advocated signing a Fa rather then trading for CDC . The above chart says both case and cdc performed at the same level

Both would cost the same , but one would have left us with fuller and last years 3rd rounder

One year later we are at square once again with less talent and a strapped cap

Now I did predict injury for CDC , do to his age , was in play and here we are
