Well, we all know ESPN and NHL go together like Katy Perry and Slipknot. Take whatever they say about hockey with a grain of salt.

That said, the collective talent of Wings defensemen deserves to be towards the bottom of the list, but their abundance of defensively proficient forwards is at the top of the list and often nullifies that weakness.

Craig costance is legit. It's a shame he works for espn.

Wings defenseman is the worst of the teams in the playoffs. All the Lightning need to do is get a good forecheck going and it will be turnovers galore. wings goaltending and offense has to be stellar for them to have a chance

I'm not optimistic. Mrazek is the obvious choice so that's good, but he's blown hot and cold. They just haven't looked like a playoff team, much less a contender, for over a month and it isn't just the goal tending. I think they'll win a couple and who knows .. maybe Mrazek gets hot. Go Wings !

I woke up this morning thinking we're gonna see both Wings goalies in net tonight, but not get the same result Chicago did last night. I really hope my intuition needs calibration.

Before their recent ailments, I came to believe over the course of the season these guys could compete well in the playoffs.

Unless they find their pre-early March levels, I have no expectations at all. Actually, I'm loaded with dread.
I hope to fuck they prove me wrong.
