Saw this, really to bad. I liked Hanley as a Red Sox fan. Be interesting to see where he ends up.

Early reports im hearing the Mets, Royals and Orioles
Shame I dont see a true contender that really has a need for him
Right. Yankees are overloaded at DH/1B, pretty much the same story with Houston and Cleveland. Still, all he costs is the minimum in 7 days. Someone will definitely take a chance. Maybe the Twins as someone said earlier.

Twins make a ton of sense in that very winnable division....Nats, Braves, and Phils, no spot there.....Maybe the Dodgers? They could use some punch in that boring offense
Cleveland and Minnesota could use him. Although You could argue that both of those are only contenders because someone has to win that dog poo division.
Pablo Sandoval,Rusney Castillo and Hanley Ramirez are making almost 80 million this season from the Red Sox
He really wouldn't have a position with significant time on an NL team if he can only play 1st these days.
Players union apparently about to go to war over this one as this was obviously all about the AB option not kicking in
Definitely about the option.
Good luck to the PA, they haven't a leg to stand on in this case.
Yeah, the more I think about it, the more Im all in on the Twins, makes so much sense for them
We did just trade for Chris Carter and he's at AAA, but we already have a big basher who strikes out too much in Miguel Sano.
Definitely about the option.

Yeah, take it from me, you want no part of Chris Carter, the occasional 450 foot bomb will not ease the pain of the 25 awful at bats in between
Chris Carter is horrible. I can't believe people still want to pay him money to play baseball.
What kind of a clubhouse would it have been with him on the bench, clearly there to prevent him from getting enough plate appearances?
Nah, Sox did what they had to do. There was no real alternative.
Little risky tho....He did have 29 RBI's, and is now being replaced by a combo of Moreland and Swihart...Its not like they got rid of a "clearly" washed up player, Im not sure it showed that he was just that yet
