More typical Doubrount.

He's either missing the plate altogether or hanging pitches.

A commercial laundry couldn't use all the "hangars" he turns out.

How in bleep did he ever get to10 wins?

Offense bailed him out

He ALWAYS needs bailing out!

Does he have any options left? He's not ready for MLB and I'm not sure he ever will be.

Yes he does... Sadly

What's sad about that?

If we use his options he might learn to actually pitch well. We don't want him doing
his learning with the big club.

At this clip it would take Felix 221 pitches to get through 9 innings. :gaah:

Talk about long nights!

Now he would only need 189 pitches for 9 innings.

What say we outright him and give Drake Britton his starting spot?

One run at a time and send Doubront to the showers is the way to pull this out.

Don't get homer-happy!

BULLPEN TIME!

If we don't outright Felix we should DFA him!

Even if we do pull this out it should go as an "L" on Doubront's record as far as I'm concerned.

Our chances of winning this are up now that he's gone. Maybe not by much, but still...

Nice going Brandon!

So if we do dump Doubront do we give his rotation spot to Workman or somebody else?

SPEAK UP, PEOPLE!

He's STRICTLY a back-end starter, though.

I'd rather give a shot to someone who has some hope of becoming more than that.

Skanks back in 4th. If the last two loses haven't demoralized them, nothing will. They had those two games all but in the bag and The Sox ripped them away.

To add to the demoralization of the Yanks they have lost back to back games while scoring 8 runs or more for the first time since 1949. It is also the first time they did this at home since 1911.

Today's afternoon game's scheduled SPs are John Lackey for the good guys, and David Huff, 29 years old with a scarily low 0.875 season WHIP. His career WHIP however is 1.525 while Lackey's career number is 1.170.

Huff was 11-8 his rookie year with Cleveland, fell to 2-11 with a 1.558 WHIP the next year, and has only pitched 98 innings in the 4 years since then.

Off-hand it appears we can inflate his season WHIP noticeably today, doesn't it?
