When I opened the hood I looked up underneath it and seen a burnt spot on the hood that is directly above the positive terminal. I know that's from the battery touching the hood. I went out and bought a shorter battery today and the car is running find.

Once again, thanks a lot. I was so close to taking it to a garage, and it's hard to tell how much they would have charged me for looking at it/and or diagnosing it. I hate taking my car to mechanics because I know how they operate. It's all about the $$$.

They would have told you they need to do a full inspection, replace everything from the alternator to the windshield wipers, and still tell you you need to order 3 grand in parts. It's their job.

Oh yea. That's why I'm so reluctant to take my vehicles to a garage.
They live on ripping people off. Just like computer repair stores.
