I guess the main issue I have with the Smith pick is,
Tony Romo is 36 years old
Witten is 33
Lee almost 30
Scandrick 29
Carr 29

and Smith might have an impact in two years.......not necessarily in 2017

If this was the year 1992, 1993.......sure

If this was a pick when the COWBOYS were fully stocked with talent .......sure

Yes, we get it. It's one of the biggest risk/reward picks in history. I wouldn't have done it, but it's already done. Maybe he never sees the field and maybe he is a superstar in 2017. Let's wait and see. Too early to say if it will ultimately be a good or bad pick
