So, my wife is related to "Sandro" from Wicked Tuna. They had a big, annual family picnic while we were in Gloucester last weekend and I spoke with him quite a bit.

Can you imagine - all that shit is scripted. The fishermen aren't really competitive with each other and don't really give a shit about the stuff on the show. Moreover, the camera guys don't like big swells so they just shoot general footage on nice days. About half the time they have a 5 gallon bucket on the line pretending it's the big one and a lot of other footage is from having undersized tuna or sharks on the line.

It's all made up! Who'd have thunk it...

Gold Rush -Their incompetence is golden.

Ax Men - Shelby reminds me of my family.

Bering Sea Gold - Everyone in Nome, Alaska is clearly drunk, crazy and incompetent.

Alaska The Last Frontier - Crazy entertains me.

Finding Bigfoot - The trippiest moment from this show is when the leader dude finds a blanket laying in a corner in a cabin and declares it to be a 'bigfoot nest'. - 'This is what bigfoots do!'

I was in the 'antique' business for about 5 years. A lot of folks don't realize it, some do, but it is one of the most crooked businesses on earth. Someone should make a show about that part of it.

Moonshiners is the only show I try to be sure to watch, but I have a DVR, but I dont even bother to record it, thats how much Im really worried about trying to watch it. I only watch the show because part of the show is based a few miles down the road from my house.

I only watch reality shows on DVR, that way I can fast forward through the 20 minutes of recaps during every episode.
