Course it's impossible to agree with any list of rankings 100% thought they did a decent job of it though. To high DeVon Achane, to low Kyren Williams, Travis Etienne,Josh Jacobs and especially Kenneth Walker. This list certainly makes me think grab quantity as cheap as possible at RB.

Fer sure, can dissect it all day long, but overall, minus a couple glaring exception that you pointed out, not bad

As a Pacheco owner, sure, he's a "discounted bell cow" especially if you like seeing all the TD go to Kelce or revolving door of WR.

Pacheco is a RB that is largely "yardage" dependant. And he isnt consistent enough for me.

One guy's strong opinions.

I used to rank my RBs in tiers, but not like this with a cute little title for each.

Why does he hate Walker? Did he originally forget about Etienne?

My top 15 are in a wildly different order.

For a redraft, I know I have a 2 man top tier, begins with CMAC and ends with Derrick Henry. no else is even remotely close.

If 20 touches per game is still the benchmark of a bell cow, only 4 RB had 20 or more:

21.7 Kyren
21.2 CMC
20.8 Josh Jacobs
20.6 Saquon

19.8 Henry
19.6 Kamara
19.1 Etienne

19 or less = everyone else

I've always looked at it more of 'ratio' of the teams RB touches. The pure quantity is obviously a great thing, in fantasy terms, but if we're simply looking at wether a back is a 'bell cow' or not, that's nothing more than a back who gets the vast majority of his teams touches. Personally I put that number at about a 2 to 1 minimum.

Not every team is going to run the ball 25+ times a game to give one back 20 touches a game on average, but if they manage 20-ish, and one guy gets 17 of them, than obviously, he is their bell cow

just 'cuz I have the time and nothing better to do yet this morning, just for S's and G's
Let's take the Patriots and Rhamondre Stevenson and Zeke in 2023 for example-

in the 11 games Stevenson was active (not counting the 12th where he was injured), and Zeke, who was just coming off leading the Cowboys in RB touches, was also around..AND lets not forget that supposed BB RBBC stuff that so many subscribe to-

Stevenson out-touched Zeke 184-136 over all. Not quite a 2:1 ratio, nearly a perfect 60/40 (57.5/42.5 to be exact) split, so a true lead with a lesser committee

Stevenson had 5 games of those 11 where he out-touched Zeke at a 2:1 ratio or better

Zeke never out touched Stevenson until that 12th game that Stevenson exited early

After Stevenson went down, Zeke had approximately 85% of the Rb's touches the final 5 games.

So in 10 of 17 games, there was a true 'bell cow' RB

Patriots certainly used a true lead back, who, more often than not, could be considered a bell cow , at least by my personal definition of it.

If we go back to 2022, Stevenson had 279 touches. Collectively, all the Patriots RB's combined had 379 touches. Giving Stevenson a 73.6% share of the backfield touches- most definitively a 'bell cow', even though his average touches per game was only 16.5

Thats good data on Stephenson.
I own him too in another dynasty. Yet 1 more RB that grinds my gears. Doesnt help that he plays on a terrible offense and misses time with injury.
