QB- Cutler, Rivers
RB- Ball, Stacy (I got him at 35, am I missing something with him?), Jennings, Moreno, Mason, Helu
Wr- Jody Nelson, roddy white, Sammy Watkins, Hakeem nicks, and Brandin Cooks
TE- Jimmy Graham
D/St- Rams (St Louis is gonna be sack city this year).
K-Shayne Graham

I think this is an incredibly solid team. I picked sixth and the top 5 picks were Charles, McCoy, ap, forte, and lacy, so I took this opportunity to see how my team would look by taking the clear cut best TE in the game. I doubt I'll ever get Stacy so late, but I had to take him at 35.

I assume you took graham in round 1, which im totally against, ball in round 2 and stacy in round 3 are steals, but i dont like your wr's at all, you have jordy whose like a #2-#3 on most teams, then an injury ridden guy on the downside, 2 rookies, and a guy with a million question marks in nicks.......

your qb's, ehhh i mean solid, but both could be busts, both could be huge too, rivers had a monster year, but i dont see it happening again.......

i dunno i like your kicker!

To be fair. .I do think Jordy is worthy WR#1.. maybe not ideal, but not a terrible #1.

I'll say what pretty much everyone else is here as well - it is very obvious that you waited until the 4th/5th to start going WR, and I think it is OK to wait on WR, but you will be scrambling there all season unless you are lucky enough to get a WR2/3 type of waivers. Very possible to do in season, but you usually need a little luck on the waiver order to get priority for one of the top guys. Nelson is a WR1, imo, but don't let last year's big numbers trick you - Cobb was injured for most of the season, and is back now. He had a great first few games before breaking his leg, but that was while Nelson was coming back from injury. Rodgers was also hurt for a nice chunk of the season.
Jordy Nelson stat line 3 games before Rodgers went down, including the game where Cobb was injured in the first half, a game that also saw James Jones get injured:
16rec, 280yds, 4tds - and that includes a 5rec 42yd performance against Joe Haden
Nelson only had 2 decent games in the 8 missed by Rodgers, going for about 500yds and only 1TD in those games.

Very hard to get a good read on GB WRs right now, imo, and judging by most drafts I've seen so far, most people are just as confused as I am. Cobb/Nelson are usually a couple of the last to get drafted out of the guys I'd consider to be WR1 viable. All other locked in WR1s go in the 1st-3rd rounds, but Nelson/Cobb are always 3rd/4th round guys this year it seems, sometimes even later.

I like Roddy for a bit of a bounce back now that he's healthy, but if anything comes out about him pulling any muscles in his legs this year, I'm bailing on him faster than Cromartie bails on baby mommas. One of their last games against SF last year gives me hope that Roddy can get back to his old self for a few games this year.
Watkins/Cooks/Nicks combo scares the crap out of me - super boom/bust guys, none of which I believe will give you anything consistent week-to-week. At least you know that Watkins will be on the field, the other 2 are in WR hell as far as depth charts/competition at that position goes for their teams.

Don't like it, the only sure thing you have is Graham. I like your RB's but neither are can't miss. Jordy as your #1 would be great in a 16 team league. Roddy is gonna fall off the cliff at some point, is it this year? I like Watkins but he isn't likely to go over 900 and 7.

Who did you take at 6?

BACK ON TOPIC:

I know you wanted to see what your team would look like by drafting a TE first, but it actually hurt you a lot here... Graham is at best a late first round pick, but is more likely a 2nd round pick, and it shows on your team how every place besides TE your number ones and twos are all below average number ones and twos...

In a 10 team league, all teams will be stacked, i just dont see your team to be as stacked as others... Especially because i see your RB and WR Bench to be pretty bad...

and as others stated, these mock drafts on these major sites kind of suck, filled with people who are auto drafts, filled with people who want to mess their teams up, and filled with many experimental drafts... Maybe thats why you got lucky to get Ball, Stacy and even Nelson so late...

I can screenshot the draft recap, I really don't think that's the case. I think some people made bad picks throughout the draft like rg3 going in the third, but i think there was only 1 guy on auto pick and I was chatting with a few of the people drafting. My Wrs are trouble, but I think cooks or Watkins are going to bust out.

Roddy might have one good year left in him, but if he sucks this year you might say he fell off the cliff last year. At 6 I took rashad jennings. I think he's going to be a starter next year.

Seems like every year in the last few years there is a breakout receiver about to happen in the Big Easy...........and still Brees throws to Jimmy every chance he gets, Colston next then the flavor of the week 3rd. IF Colston stays healthy (yeah, I know, lolol) Cooks will probably be good for 4-5 weeks of good numbers and 1-2 of those will be really good. Watkins could be another story but I would temper my expectations a bit. The bad news is their D is actually decent and they play in a shitty division; might be a lot of grinding going on there..................then again, it's all speculation but that's how I see it.......................now I better go and get dressed so I can renew my vows with my wife. Man I hate church!

I agree. Your analysis on the Green Bay Wrs is spot on. One of my best friends is an avid packer fan and he thinks that Nelson is the go to guy. He's got size. To make a rb comparison, Cobb is the yards guy while Nelson is the goal line guy. I honestly don't see Cobb being a wr1 and Nelson is borderline. I also like your analysis on Roddy. I think he's still got some left in the tank. People forget he was injured most of last year and even when he came back he was playing with a lot of pain. If he stays healthy he could be a big steal.

I think cooks was drafted to be on the field at all times. He could be good, but no Wrs on NO are reliable. What I like about Watkins is he really has no competition for the top spot in buffalo.

Anyway, congrats on the vow renewal. That's quite an accomplishment and shows you are happy in marriage.

So judgemental?

So far you've judged other's grammar (apparently while you were drunk), old those of us that are here a month in advance of preseason that we may be unstable, referred to one as a pussy bitch. ...then got offended by the very same bitch giving you his honest opinion about 10 team leagues and July mock drafts.

I think we can all just get this behind us and move on, but you can't ask for advice and then mock that advice...right?

And I suck at grading teams, but I will say B. Good team that just needs stability at RB/WR depth.

Well problem is , he's not looking for advice, he's looking for approval and admiration. Same thing we saw time and time again on CBS.

Sorry if I offended you with the unstable comments, I'm posting here too, so I'm offending myself in the process. But, yeah, it's behind me now. Hopefully treff can find it in himself to forgive me and put it in the past as well.

So, what I've learned from this practice draft is Graham is not worth a first rounder? I think there is merit to having the best TE in the game by far. Graham produces like a top wide out, but it's not worth the depth loss in other areas to take graham early. The chips even fell my way with some players dropping, but it's still a pretty weak team. Thanks for the discussion. I think a lot can be learned from this draft.

I will probably set this line up every week, but the leagues I am preparing for are in another month.
