That Pelini went to the hospital @halftime of the Arkansas St game, it leaves no doubt who was in charge of the defense.

There were a couple of points in there that the defense began to show some confusion. Papuchis rounded them up (got in Compton's ear a bit) and got them straightened out well. These are generally times Bo is in the middle directing.

7 (of the 10) 2nd half points were the result of a sac/fumble into the endzone by Martinez.

So the defense gave up 3 pts with their backs to the wall a couple times.

One drive by Arky St from their own 25 down to NU's 20 @ 9 min into the 4th Q.

NU's D tightened up and Arky St had a 15 yd crackback penalty and punted.

That was one of ASU's possessions where there was some confusion on NU's D. Hence the A-

Not only an A for his game but an A+ for his post game press conference. I love the way he spoke with the media. Very down to earth, cracking jokes, telling them how it was as he used sentences and not just one word responses.

Beck gets a F for his post game and should have let John do all the talking.

Well I was kinda' referring to the quality of play/coaching on the field. It's still Bo's team to be the spokesman to the media. He'll be back on the field and back into the mix next week.

My point is what are people's perceptions of NU's coordinators operating without any of Bo's influences for 1/2 a game.

I found it to be interesting.

shitty T/O margin rears its ugly head again. Martinez slowly getting looser and looser with the ball. We all know Abdullah is loose with the ball.

It will be good to get Rex back for B1G play because turnovers are a major concern of mine.

I thought he did a pretty good job. I really liked the way he got out on the field and got in the players business when they were messing up. Seemed like much better in the correction department throughout the game

I give him an A. Did you see him with 8 seconds to go in the game and the clock ticking down? He was still just wired over on the sidelines trying to get our guys in the right position for the possibility of Arkansas State running another play.

He was fired up, he was vocal, and did what he had to do in that situation. It wasn't his fault that the turnovers (one of which was bullshit) occurred.......and even given the turnovers, he still got the team up and ready to go.

I don't blame Taylor for the fumble that turned into a TD........he was going to get that ball out fairly quickly had someone picked up that guy.

The fumble on the punt was fucking bullshit bullshit bullshit. I still cannot understand how a ref can be unsure on whether or not a ball hits a return man, so they just go ahead and call it a fumble..........it should be the other way around! If you are unsure that it touched the man, call it in favor of the returning team and THEN try to overturn it.
