I've no room to talk as a New Yorker...

We've got some relatives out in Rancho C/Fontana, and we've done a bit of driving on the 15 between there and Temecula/Murrieta. All that's outside of LA though. I have avoided downtown LA since the late 90's

Somewhat related, it's amazing how many people assume NYC when you tell them you live in NY. Can we make NYC it's own state already?

He had a house built in SA and then asked for a trade. *Shrug*

Always cracks me up when folks think that a guy buying a house in a specific city actually means something.

As one of the Spurs fans pointed out, he had a house built in San Antonio just before he left.

People with a lot of money tend to buy real estate because it's a good investment.

Could him possibly buying a house mean he's going to stay? Of course.

However, it's just as possible that he found a good deal and is taking advantage of it.
