Ranking the bowl games from worst to best

I have a buddy that actually did a whole metric on this. He calls it WatchaBowlity and it's pretty damn solid in my opinion. The 2017 WatchaBowlity - Student Union

usc vs osu is his top watchability game....

After seeing that I quit reading his list as nothing after that point could redeem his misguided views

Sorry, but if you rank the Celebration Bowl as the worst Bowl game of the bowl season, you haven't been watching College Football.

Not many people watch FCS games, especially involving teams not eligible for the FCS playoffs.

Western Kentucky vs. Georgia State. Both teams have 6 wins, barely being bowl teams. Georgia State started off the season losing to an FCS team and ended the season losing to a 3 win Idaho team. Western Kentucky were okay this year. They lost to a 2-win Illinois team. Not a very exciting game at all. I don't think you should be rewarded with a bowl game by only winning half of your games. Seems like a participation trophy to me.

I get that. I definitely do. But you got an undefeated juggernaut in North Carolina A&T against Grambling State. Two of the best in the FCS on the national spotlight. NCA&T could beat some FBS schools hands down. This is also the 3rd Celebration bowl and the 2nd time these two teams play each other in it. High scoring game. Gonna be a good one and gonna be better than most of the FBS bowl games.

Currently go to an HBC, doesn't change the fact that there are probably 5-6 FCS teams that could run through an FBS schedule. Already have FCS teams beating FBS programs. 9 FCS programs beat FBS teams this year. Time to get rid of these FBS and FCS "divisions".

I bet more people watch NCAT vs. Grambling than at least 4 or 5 FBS Bowl games.

There may be but NC A&T isn't one of them. Teams that struggle to put away this year's SC State can't run through a FBS schedule.

You have michigan too high

trolling or not, I might agree though there's a pretty sizable dropoff in the bowls IMO. I'm not very excited about South Carolina, their record seems pretty deceptive (66th in S&P+ and 42nd in Sagarin, Michigan's 21st in both respectively) and their offense looks considerably worse than Michigan's. I'm sick of facing SEC schools anyway, I would rather see them play a Pac-12 school.

I think Iowa State vs Memphis (#20 Liberty Bowl) is actually an interesting game. I would have that Top 15.

Iowa vs Boston College (#21 Pinstripe Bowl) is not interesting to anybody outside those two programs.

agreed. Memphis has a great offense, but this is probably the best defense they've played all year.
