You can pinch hit for the DH, but you lose the DH if the DH has to play in the field

I've been saying this might be an issue all year when they were pitching him 2-3 innings every outing it seemed.

If we had a man in scoring position I would agree with you. Just seems like Wash can't stand to have is boy out of the mix altogether for even one night. Probably just my jaded view though.

Gentry is far better against LHP than Young though. Wash is saving him to SAC BUNT or PINCH RUN late ... far more important jobs.
