Okay. But he had 5 straight 200 hit seasons and led the league in hits and avg in 2005. He played in 155 games 12 of 13 seasons. Not including the last season hit 300 or better in 7 of 9 seasons and 7 time All Star. I think we have to be careful about thinking of him that last year as being what we had all those years. The time we ran into Showalter at the Pensacola Airport he asked our sons who their favorite Ranger was and they said MY and Showalter said he is mine too.

For a while I thought Teix was gonna be my all time favorite Ranger. Then he turned into an entitled Northeast asshole...Sorry Terps...Teix was a total blue blood.

Don't forget Blyleven...he had one decent year with us...I was so excited when we traded for him, but he didn't last long with us.

Doggone it. I would have Blyleven very high. I did forget about him. Danny Darwin too.

He gave us some very good years though. I like Mark.

He was a great ball player, but he acted like an ass. He pitched a fit until Showalter was fired and then refused to extend when Wash was brought in. He was a selfish jerk. Thank you Atlanta for wanting him so badly.

Did you guys see the note that Beltre hasn't struck out in over 50 plate appearances.

I wouldn't have any problem with someone having him fairly high on their all time favorite Rangers list. I just don't have him on mine. I go back a long ways and have a lot of players to choose from though.

How about Fergie Jenkins and Gaylord Perry? Or Richie Zisk and Bud Harrelson then?

I have a feeling that if we really got the chance to know some of these guys that we wouldn't like most of them.

Believe me, Atlanta shares the same feelings about him...didn't even last two seasons with the Braves...

:agree:.....Was a prima donna ass from day one, and we got a boat load for him.

Agree completely. I thought about him but he kind of backhanded this team when he left as he made it real clear he had no intentions of staying with the Rangers. The best thing about him was Harrison, Andrus, Salty, Beau Jones and Neftali. Of ARod, Tex and MY it was MY who never quit on this organization.

So we give Leo a hard time, but he's second in fWAR on the team at 2.2.

If I remember right he just finished the last half of the season and the next year signed with the Angels. Atlanta really got kicked on that trade.

Nah he was traded to LAA for Casey Kotchman and a minor leaguer named Stephen Marek....haha how bad right?

Edit...whoa the Braves originally asked for Nick Adenhart...The Angels declined. That's kinda weird to think about...

Sadly that's probably very true.

I know for a fact it's true about that asshole Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams, and if the media has any idea of what they're talking about, Kevin Brown was a prick.

Hey, Nick is starting to suck. Let's see if he can keep it from blowing up in his face here.

Man, that is. What might have been for Nick if that happens.

Thanks for correcting me as I forgot about that. Braves just messed up all the way around.
