Harrison was Hollandesque today, and other than today has had two bad starts since May 12th, 6 innings 4 ERs on that day... and that was the back end of a similiar 3 bad starts in 4 trend, and has been money ever since til now

i agree, he carried the rangers thru june and july, but he has been less than average since the ASB and thats when the rangers have needed an anchor the most. even in his good stetch you knew eventually he would come back to reality. he has been either on or off all season. consistancy is a big problem for him and thats why i dont feel comfortable when he's on the mound in the playoffs. we dont need him to be lights out for a month and a half and bad another month and a half. harrison has been like that his whole career. we just need him to be solid consistantly, which is easier said than done......

So much better than Torrealba, it's not even funny.

The way he swings the bat, it sounds solidly hit everytime he makes conatact, and add in the better plate discipline... how was he hitting .199 in Chicago?

Then better defense to boot (recent passed ball notwithstanding)

He was bad today, serious command issues, couldn't keep the ball down

Obviously Soto put down one sign and Oswalt threw another, mixed signals there, and I'm pretty sure that was a foul tip, b/c when they showed it from the side the ball changed trajectory after it passed the bat

i couldnt tell if it was a foul tip either, ill give nauert (home plate umpire) the benefit of the doubt bc he probably would have heard it. when the ball changed trajectory it looked like it deflected off soto's shoulder which gave the appearance of a foul tip

Off or on ALL season?

he's had essentially 6 bad starts all year, and all 6 came in two 4 start stretches, one now and one at the begining of the year, other than that money

I honestly think he's a good player who just got mired down in a hopeless situation in Chicago. Playing for such a horrible last place team for that many years can have an effect on some players. Now he's in a better lineup, better hitter's park, and I think he's probably rejuvenated a bit. Plus he did have problems with his knees, so that probably affected the average a bit.

Why would any young hitter ever leave Fenway? If I was wanting a big contract, I'd give a discount to play there one year.

Good grief that place is like a little league park.

that passed ball was just a communication error on someone, that still cant happen in that situation

Oswalt's BAA is .337. Yikes! I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the final score of this game won't be 8-5.

Of course, our offense is picking up, so we may be looking at a 11-9 type game today, with the Rangers on top, I hope.

I'm inclined to believe that its the pitchers fault, b/c Soto is the one putting down the sign and he obviously got something different

Oswalt has looked lights out in relief, A LOT better than when he was starting

I think he was rushed into his return to the mound due to injuries

I think he works his way back in by the end of the year, either at Feldman or Holland's expense

THIS is the Oswalt I was accustomed to seeing, He's on the black and not in the middle of the plate as much

harrison was garbage today, he let the sox back in it every time the rangers scored, very hollandesque. this rotation is a joke right now and needs to wake the hell up!

Dude, shut up.
