Listening to 105.3 a few minutes ago and Bacsik & Nadel were discussing how the Rangers have already determined when Darvish comes back to try a 6 man rotation.

I big time slept through this discussion and determination.

So does this screw up everyone else's rhythm pitching w an extra day of rest, or will it affect anything?

Not sure what happens to everyone's mind set, rhythm, etc. But to me, I'm game to give it a go.

However, since we know, initially anyway, Darvish is going to be a very restrictive pitch count. So I could see how this would be rough on the pen.

I think Hamels is a creature of routine, he'd be the biggest roadblock.

I had wondered if they'd try a 6 man rotation when Yu returned.

So my thing would be, why take that chance of screwing up 4 other guys vs making a tough call/decision on sending someone to RR for depth when Yu is back?

I think most are creatures of habit or routine and you're taking a chance of possibly messing up their rhythm so to speak, and for right now I don't want to mess with anything. SP has been really good so far, I guess it possibly COULD get better, but there is a good chance it could go the other way too

First, when was this decision made? I'm lost here.

Second, very good point re: our starters. Our starters are pitching about as well as anyone's right now and I fail to see the wisdom of messing it up. I'd almost rather see someone get moved to the pen as the spot starter and long man.

Rather see someone go to AAA to stay ready for when we need them.

Hamels was the first person that came to my mind.
