No doubt about Choo being a good player and no doubt he is getting old and blocking young talent.
Team is getting butt fucked 2010 World Series style against a team who isn’t that good. They’re throwing scrub pitchers against us and we have only 2 runs.
So many holes in this team. May be the worse team ever.
It is late July, traditionally trade deadline time. Maybe that made him nervous again.
Last year, his troubles started 29 days before the deadline. Tonight's start was 31 days before the deadline.
and isn't worth the $20M it would probably take to re-sign him. if you're serious about using Calhoun as a DH then Choo blocks that and neither is seriously any good in LF. spend the $20M on a good LF like Ozuna or such. let Choo, Kluber and Frazier walk after this season that saves the team $23.75M on Kluber & Frazier and an estimated $20M on Choo. then re-sign Minor and sign a LF'er, a good stop-gap 1st baseman and 3rd baseman(while Jung and Huff mature at AA and AAA) for the 2021 and possibly the 2022 seasons. i know this is a popular way of doing things case most posters on here favor rushing Jung and Huff onto the major league team but it's the way i would go
when your offense generates 2 runs and 4 hits it puts even more pressure on your pitching to hold the line and he couldn't. the last 2 hits were too little too late and only padded the weak-ass stats
I wonder how many different positions Profar, er I mean Solak, will play this uear?
Good question. This year is shot so it makes for a perfect time to look at all these guys and see how and where they can best help the team. Woody is doing that now and expect we will see more of the same.
I have felt that way about the direction the club is going for awhile.
How many more covid-19 cancellations before season folds? Cards and Brewers today.
When you see people (players) purposely forfeiting salary rather than put themselves at risk, you know the situation is well and truly fucked up.
They had to expect this when they decided to start the season up.
I'm sure that is right. Probably everyone wishes it would end before something terrible happens.
There is a percentage of fans who feel the only reason MLB/owners agreed to any of this is that they assumed things would fall apart, and would be able to blame the players for it.
I guess some need a good conspiracy theory.
McLemore says there is light at the end of the tunnel. LOL
Nice crowd tonight.
Is it a light or an oncoming freight train?
