Bench Pederson and don't let him pick up a bat.

I wonder what CY was drinking when he signed Pedersen? Wonder he didn't go blind.

This offensive mess is on CY and Bochy. They should have moved Garcia and not signed Pederson. Semien should be a defensive replacement only.

From Evan Grant:

The Rangers continue to learn how to best use Martin to preserve his health. His outing at the outset of last week was the third consecutive day on which he pitched. It was the first time he attempted to go three straight days in his career.

In addition, the Rangers don’t intend to use him to finish off an inning and then start another out of concern that he’d get too tight while on the bench.

From Tepid earlier today:

Trying not to overreact (it's May 20th) or sound too negative, but the big league team is the oldest in MLB and the farm is quite light. But I've seen farms turn around VERY quickly and all it takes is a couple/three breakouts, maybe from the TEX guys who are hurt at the moment?

Tepid is right. This team is struggling mightily and the farm is very bare. I really hope this team either really turns things around and plays .600 ball the rest of the way, or they collapse and become sellers. The worst thing that could happen is what happened last year when they failed to become sellers and weren't good enough either one.

It may be best if they do collapse in that not only could we replenish the farm, but we could see Bochy be shown the door. It is too early for me to hope it works out that way, but I may start thinking that way in a few more weeks.

They shouldn't use any pitcher to finish off an inning and then start out another one! I am not a manager but even I knew that. If the pitcher is not doing well in that inning then fine but Bochy does it for no apparent reason.
