Id probably have Rua in the lineup tonight anyway, but you really can't bat him 4th vs a righty, even if he was. Jeff is just playing the odds, would be my guess

He will miss his seventh game in a row Wednesday, but he will return Thursday without needing a DL stint. Beltre continues to defy Father Time to some degree, although he is on pace to post an OPS below .800 for the second straight year. The 37-year-old is still a starting third baseman in most formats, but he's no longer an elite option at the position.
