That is absurd. HRs is everything to some. Maz tries to hit the ball where it is pitched. He will not hit as many HRs as Gallo but I will take him 100% of the time with the game on the line and the winning run on 3rd with less than 2 outs.

It is amazing to me that established players like Cano feel they have to cheat. It is wrong for anyone, but there is absolutely no excuse for established guys with guaranteed contracts to even be tempted to do so.

He claims not to have known for what that is worth. I do think there is slot of pressure to get healthy quicker which is a lot what these things are esp at his stage. As opposed to the steroids for the young guys to build strength

Unfortunately, our pitching numbers - lack thereof - relate similarily to our hitting. But for me, I'm more disappointed in the offense than than the D b/c I expected the arms to fare poorly.

Also, Gallo's K/W ratio is considerably worse this year (almost 4-1) compared to last season (2.3-1). But in fairness, he's faced better pitching to date, so let's see once we get away from the truly best of the best and see if he'll come around.
