Most years I would agree, but I don't think winning is everything this year. If winning was everyrhing then Choo would have been used in that kind of situation.

Banny would never admit to as much, but in that situation there was no need to mess up a streak. It was a learning situation for Gallo that could be afforded this year.

Wash on the other hand once PH in a meaningless situation and messed up a chance at a cycle. lol

You could be right but I don't really know but maybe Banny was doing to out of respect to Choo.

Choo never came out for the first of the game. He never was in the dugout that I saw until after the 5th. Make me think he just flat out had the day off. He would had to stretch. But there was the report he was sore. Think hamstrings. Don’t think he was considered but then they did not need to pinch hit. I think major factor was development of Gallo which it seems made him have a inside the clubhouse talk per previous post

I think people just want to see Choo traded so badly ( myself included of course) that they’re using the streak to assure themselves he will for sure be dealt.

Of course, we all like Choo as a person and a player, but unloading his contract would be a godsend.

Choo wasn’t in the lineup Monday or today. Both games against tough lefties.

I think Banny might be trying to protect the streak.

Yeah, he's been 'nasty' for 7/8 years now. And he won't bet 30 until next year, so he could be 'nasty' for another 7/8 years. Little something to look forward to eh?

    Sounds like one nasty dude.

I remember a game in chicago against the White Sox where he wasn’t nasty and the rangers scored a lot of runs off him. He was shown beating the crap out of a Gatorade cooler.

Bartolo has proven that looks are deceiving. Looks easy to hit him....not.

    Freaking errors.

Whatever...... a loss isn’t a bad thing tonight. Let the Red Sox win tonight.

Like I said, the further behind the Yankees get, the more desperate they might become at the deadline.

Unless you're a natural born looser, a loss is not a good thing.

What we need to happen is for Hamels to get back on track, if that's possible, and for Minor to continue.

I mentioned yesterday that Odor was working on his longest errorless streak ever. Guess it's time to start a new one.

    Still, he's improved there.

    Absolutely he has.

I wasn't specifically pointing at him. Just overall, we aren't real good with the mits.

Looks like we left our bats in Detroit.
