He probably has another two innings in him. The longer this game stays 0-0 the Rangers chances of winning go up. They probably need some fluky 10th or 11th inning win without Greinke on the mound.

I think it was all but done and the Dodgers panicked and got flat out stupid and offered Greinke an absolutely asinine contract.

You don't make the 3rd out at 3rd. You just don't.

And therein lies the rub with Elvis. He has a great at-bat and then follows it up with a needless risk on the base paths. With 2 outs, there is no difference between being on 3rd base and being on 2nd. You can't score on a sac fly and you likely score from either base on a single.

Just a poor, poor decision. Reward not worth the risk.

I thought it was fairly clear from the replay. Callaspo kept the tag applied all the way through the slide and Elvis clearly lost contact with the bag between his first hand touch and second.
