I'd like to see Martin get re-signed before the end of the season. Really hope they don't wait too long and blow it.
How long do you think it will be before they will ask Seager to move? Do you think he will react better than Young did?I was gonna mention it but Lowe should have at least come off the bag and tried to keep the runners to one base but he's a really bad defensive 1B thats why I hope Seager is better if they can eventually move him there

Maybe Acuna. Maybe Josh Smith. Right now, Ornelas is hitting very well at Frisco. He doesn't strike me as a guy that will put up too much of an argument. Not real intense or fiery. I guess it depends on how long it would take for them to find a better defensive SS with a bat that also plays. Hope they find another one by the start of 2024.
He is ready.
I bet he hits better than anyone on the team by 2025, and better than most everyone next year. Well, unless they sign a $50 million AAV free agent.I say bring him up and let us see what he's got. He will hit better than Smith, I bet
So a day after issuing 9 walks the RR pitchers tonight walked 11 in a 20-3 loss. Frisco issued 7 walks. Do we have a bunch of "Wild Things" down in the minors?
It looks like the best starter in RR, going by walk rate, is some guy named Arihara. He only has 18 in 72 innings. So a day after issuing 9 walks the RR pitchers tonight walked 11 in a 20-3 loss. Frisco issued 7 walks. Do we have a bunch of "Wild Things" down in the minors?
I don't believe I can recall it ever being this bad. I have no idea how the rest of those leagues are doing with walks. So a day after issuing 9 walks the RR pitchers tonight walked 11 in a 20-3 loss. Frisco issued 7 walks. Do we have a bunch of "Wild Things" down in the minors?
This will be an interesting reassessment of our minor league pitching mgrsI don't believe I can recall it ever being this bad. I have no idea how the rest of those leagues are doing with walks.
6 years maybe 7.How long do you think it will be before they will ask Seager to move? Do you think he will react better than Young did?
doubt the FO would consider moving him until 2027 or 2028 at the earliest. He doesn't strike me as a guy that will put up too much of an argument. Not real intense or fiery. has Seager ever played 1st? if I'm not wrong, he has played over 1000 games at SS and less than 10 at 3B. i wouldn't think he would be in anyone's thoughts as a 1st baseman maybe 2nd once Semien's contract is overIt's been pretty bad all year. Hope Jung brings some better defense to 3rd and hope they eventually move Seager to 1st and find a better defensive SS
either Arihara or Keuchel would require clearing a 40-man spot to bring either up. this time of year, i would expect the FO is looking at what prospects we will need to put on the 40 to protect them from the Rule 5 draft in December and also who we want to look at at the MLB levelThis will be an interesting reassessment of our minor league pitching mgrs
It is now mid August. The season WC chase has been lost. Time to keep assessing and protect the guys we have.
Even if they brought up Arihara to start a game to protect arms I would not have a problem
I get though the average fan has no desire to pay for a ticket if we no longer are competitive
Yes but we can clear the spots that won’t be claimed if needed. Not a huge thing now. Maybe a bit more of a crunch latereither Arihara or Keuchel would require clearing a 40-man spot to bring either up. this time of year, i would expect the FO is looking at what prospects we will need to put on the 40 to protect them from the Rule 5 draft in December and also who we want to look at at the MLB level
