1st home run of Clase this year and only 3rd ever by a right handed hitter off him. It was a 99.5 mph cutter.

Huff has 500 ft home run power. Don’t really want to lose him just yet.

Beasley claimed it was because of the matchup with Burke was better.

He's also got 2 more starts potentially in which if he pitches at least 5 or 6 innings he'll have right at 135 innings (last year he had 95). He was originally a reliever and they like to ramp pitchers up in 40 inning increments per year, next year he should be pretty much unlimited if he pitches well enough...

Wonder how they are to handle the loss of Dunning in the rotation the remainder of the year.

Sounds like Dunning suffers through this the bulk of the year. A healthy Dunning may improve next year

Actually, he pitched 119 innings last year between the minors and the Rangers. So that part, shouldn't have been a problem.

Honestly I think it respect /courtesy to an old veteran comlng near end to a career. If it were a play off type situiation, I could think it is a L vs R thing but not in this case. Also Kole's stats say he is not the best bet for DH. Not much left except for courtesy / respect.

don't know for sure but he has taken the Marlins to the playoffs once and he has a good management record
