Series Thread: Rangers Host Colorado For Three Games May 12-14

The Rangers finished well on the road trip. They have some momentum going as the come home to face the lowly Colorado Rockies.

The Rockies have given up a lot of runs lately and the Rangers offense has finally started to click. All three pitching matchups favor the Rangers. The Rangers will send out Mahle, Corbin and Leiter to pitch. This should be a sweep, but anything is possible in baseball.

All indications are that Burger and Higashioka will return tonight. Unfortunately, Seager may be going back on the DL. Ezequiel Duran can ease the pain, to a certain degree, of Seager being on the shelf. He did that a couple of years ago and he did well yesterday.

problem is that of course Barnhart gets sent down when Higashioka returns but who gets send down to make room for Burger? unfortunately Duran seems the most likely unless they intend to IL Seager

I never predict a sweep of any team. But honestly this may be the exception. This is an awful Rockies team. We should win all three with the offense beginning to rebound.

But taking 2 of 3 won't surprise me.

Anything less than that would be ...nah, won't even go there.

I think if Burger is in the lineup then he plays 1st and Smith SS and Duran is the odd man out. That's if Seager is unable to play.

The team should go into a positive run differential for the season after this series. Currently at -9.

Also if they don’t finish with a .500 or better season record after this series it will be a complete failure.
