I knew Tepesch could pitch much better than what he had been doing. Hope he builds on this.

I think overall Tolleson has been a bright spot out of the bullpen. So I think we can add him as one of our positives this year.

This should go a long way in building some confidence, if nothing else after the last couple

I sure was glad to hear we got him from LAD and for a guy coming off what I believe was an arm injury he's been pretty good to this point

I was watching the first 6 innings at a party. I didn't realize they only had 2 hits until I just looked at the box score. That's a hell of a collective pitching effort. That's exactly what we would have to do to win this one. It was obviously lopsided on paper.

Again Felix has to be thinking "what the hell do I have to do" after his last 2 starts. I got no sympathy for him though, he did choose to re-up and stay there.

Tyler this is why you watch the games and take away the positives, tepesch toed the rubber opposite one of the best pitchers in the AL and hurled a gem. Can you give the guy some props or do you want to waste your keystrokes bashing Moreland some more tonight?

DMN:

The control problems that short-circuited right-hander Daniel Bard’s run as a premier reliever with Boston have arisen as he attempts to revive his career with the Rangers.

Bard, who had thoracic outlet surgery in January, has made three appearances in the low Class A South Atlantic and retired only two of the 16 hitters faced. He gave up nine walks and hit five batters and had a 121.50 ERA.

In his last 19 appearances with the Red Sox, in 2012-13, Bard had 45 walks and eight hit batters in 60 1/3 innings.

Him and Buckel stink. In 15.2 innings Buckel has 14 K's and 29 BB's.

A couple of things regarding Profar.

First, he's basically untradable. Last year he didn't play that well, albeit due at least in part by the way he was utilized. Now he's hurt for the entire year, after admitting he didn't work out hard/properly in the off season.

IMO he's a lot more valuable to us than another team for now. Can't imagine anyone offering much.

Second, to compare him to Odor on this limited sample size is not fair. I've liked what I've seen outta Odor for sure. But he's had the advantage of knowing and preparing to be in the lineup everyday at the same position. Something Profar didn't have at all. In fact, the exact opposite.

Third, our infield is in the process of becoming fluid to say the least. Meaning, we're not totally sure today who'll be our opening day starter at 1st, 2nd for sure. Plus, EA's gotta show more and be the SS we all know he can be. Seen it too much for it to me a mirage. Additionally, AB isn't going to improve or even maintain at his age. No one does at his stage.

So, at least to me, our infield could look radically different next year than the one we hoped/planned for this season. It's not at all inconceivable for us to have 3 new starters next year.

I understand some of you put this season on the shelve two weeks ago and geared up for next season. I can't do that in mid June when the team is a couple of games under 500. I like what I've seen from Odor and if he continues to show this stage isn't to big for him then yes, this team has options to move players from a position of strength. Long ways to go before any of that happens.

Plus Odor has come up through A and AA as a 2nd baseman and Profar as a SS. I would like to groom him as a 3B but if Gallo is able to be above average at 3B then that will be a problem.

I do agree with donaldson and it was gripe during the off season that we really messed with Profar way too much.

I think Gallo is considered an average 3rd baseman at this point. Plus his size, 6'5" and 230 lbs is going to work against him playing 3rd. However, there have been some good size guys play the position in the past. But we'll see. If his bat continues to improve then we may be willing to give up some defense in order to get him a lineup spot.

And unless I see more "ump" outta one EA I'd just as soon see Profar and him compete for the starting SS position as long as we're confident in Odor at 2nd and AB's health.

so much before now and then remains the point to all this. Elvis remains the least of my concerns.

shoot....biggest problem for a few of you guys might be should the Rangers stay in contention with these Round Rock Rangers. Some could actually think that could have something to do with Ron Washington. I know.....shutter the thought.

So much yet to be determined
