Got to hope for the best in this series. Hopefully Snyder is starting to adjust to major league pitching.
I guess so. Atlanta up for 4-3, Les!Atlanta making a come back on the Angels? 3-2
In one of his latest pieces, Jonah Keri breaks down the historic injury woes that have ravaged the Rangers’ roster this season. Keri points to some research done by Jeff Zimmerman of Fangraphs that had pegged the Padres as the most injury-prone team from 2010-13, noting that in San Diego’s worst season, their players spent a total of 1221 days on the DL. The 2014 Rangers, Keri writes, are on pace for an unfathomable 1715 days on the DL.
Because they are not the 2nd best team. They played in that pathetic Eastern Conference. The Mavs played the Spurs better. In fact possibly better than anyone.

Have to agree there. Another summer of Cuban chasing free agents. This time Carmela Anthony. The Mavs scared the Spurs. Your team has a heck of a coach in Carlisle. The big difference is the Front office for both teams. The Mavs need to focus more on drafting and player development.
At least Reddick starts this series on the DL and I have to look at one less douchey haircut.
Still gotta look at Donaldson.
Last year, when the M's were there, RAW SEWAGE started coming out of the showers.
Truly a shithole.
DMN:
Martin hit leadoff against right-handers in the final two games of the Seattle series and showed enough to earn more chances in the spot. He reached base four times and took more pitches than usual.
Martin saw 36 pitches in nine plate appearances. His season average is 3.68 pitches per plate appearance, too low for the Rangers.
“He took some pitches I never saw him take before,” Washington said. “Just be a little patient. If he sees something he likes, put a good swing on it. But down in the lineup, he was slashing at everything.”
Said Martin: “I’m trying. I’ve always hit leadoff. I want to stay there.”
Joey Gallo, 3B, Double-A Frisco: Gallo's call up to Double-A last Sunday created a buzz. When he hit a walk-off home run in his first game it was a minor explosion. Since then all he's done is hit a home run in four of the six games he's played in. Gallo is 8-for-24 with a .407 on-base percentage and .875 slugging percentage in his short time with Frisco. Half of his eight hits in Double-A have been home runs.
classic statement for a few board members here. Washington hadn't a clue while the peanut gallery knew all along. Seems to be your implication here. Since we all here played baseball at a high level and all....what was the first indicator to you that Martin should be our leadoff hitter? I think I've been as lost as Washington cause I sure didn't see any indications he was a fit. I understand the last two days has changed everything but I saw an undisciplined two cent head approach that got himself out more often than not pretty much all the time.Wait a second. He has always hit leadoff? And we are just now giving it a try? Glad Evan Grant could help guide this along.![]()

I'll be the first to say young players develop and evolve as players with the right direction. I understand the mental approach day after day can be a grind and coaching just might matter towards that development of a young player. I think it's been said for years how Washington helped many young players before he got to Texas. He just might be a pretty good guy to have around for the continued development of our young players. It's said that baseball is 90% mental and maybe that's an on-going process with young players. Now...if he would just do a little research as to where these guys hit before they got to the majors, we might have something working here.
