Anyone notice that ESPN Dallas has a headline that says Daniel Murphy, Rangers come out on top...

I guess there are too many D Murphy's.

They aren't to big one getting names right over there. I have seen them refer to Feliz and Neftali Perez so many times, I am actually starting to think we have a guy in our organization named that.

March 25, 2014 Optioned RHP Neftali Perez to Round Rock (PCL). Assigned LHPs Rafael Perez and Aaron Poreda to Round Rock.

Who is John Burkett?

Burkett pitched for us for 4 years, 1996-99 and went 27-35 with an ERA over 5. Not so good for us obviously, but he won 30 more games than lost over his 15 year career.

Our problems are solved. We signed Pena to a minor league deal. Ha ha

The Texas Rangers have signed first baseman Carlos Pena to a minor-league deal, the club announced Tuesday. He will be activated either Tuesday or Wednesday by Triple-A Round Rock.

I think he was doing it Jeopardy style, answered in the form of a question

They already discussed the confusion between first playoff winning pitcher and first WS winning pitcher

I'll say this about Lewis, many of you are down on him, but the stuff is still there, he just needs to get his command again, his BB/9 is almost 1 walk higher than it was before he got hurt and he's missing his spots way too often in the zone

Remember he's totally having to revamp his mechanics bc of the hip surgery, should he be doing this at the ML level, no, but thats the circumstances

Lewis can still be an effective pitcher but our injury situation has forced him and the team into an undesirable position

You can see the flashes but he's still just too wild in the zone, unfortunately I don't think we see the desired results until 20+ starts

I couldn't agree more. He's battling, but thus far there are way to many times he's down in the count.

I have been thinking along these same lines, hard to really fault the guy for where he is at in the whole comeback stage. I have just been hoping he could keep us in games and the score close enough for the team to get W's and so far he has gotten some wins. I think the results will get better as he progresses

Unfortunately the way he's struggling it can always get ugly quick, and it often has, but to me he's actually looked better but the results aren't where anyone wants them

Def not down on him. I am impressed he can even walk let alone pitch. It just hurts to see a guy I love so much have struggles. It's a rough season.

I had some of the same types of thoughts in that maybe it is still too early to see what he may become. I would love to see him be effective again but time will tell. That is why I think we need to back off on Martinez's innings and let Colby try and finish. We really do not have any other options. Time will tell if the surgery or age or both has ended it for him.

His biggest issue is command, he can find that again, the velocity is back to the high 80 and low 90s, the stuff is still there, the key is being consistent with it

Him and Martinez could probably make an effective pairing going forward at times, Colby going 4-5 and Martinez going 2-3 innings
