We just have way too many unproductive outs. Too many strikeouts and shallow pop-ups with men on base.
Josh just has no plate discipline whatsoever. None. 3 awful-looking K's today, all on undisciplined swings at slow breaking balls away and in the dirt.
The question is after seeing this for a year do you really want to offer josh a big contract. I've been leaning towards no.
Leaning heavily toward no. I would like to have him back, but someone with his lack of plate discipline and strange injury problems is not worth what he will be asking for.
If we do lose this game, it's not entirely on Nathan. The offense shares some of the blame for failing to provide any kind of padding or insurance.
