There was no way he was going to keep up his Apr/May numbers. That is completely understandable. But what he's doing now at the plate is just bizarre. 3 or 4 pitch Ks most of the time. I say give him a day or 2 off, move him down in the order for a couple of games, just do something. It really is mind-boggling how such a talented player can just like that look so clueless at the plate. Sure hope he bounces back soon. Terribly frustrating to watch.

Again, it's because he's trying to hit on talent rather than play baseball. Until he changes that's it's just going to get uglier.

Martin still needs a little polishing. This is good experience for him though.

Nice job by Harrison of putting up a zero even with bad luck that inning.

Probably did. I thought it was going to sneak through. Liking the plate discipline I'm seeing on this junk baller so far though.

Thank goodness we got out of that at the expense of a 26 pitch inning. Hopefully Matty just hit a little speed bump along the way

I think busby got it right. He got scared to throw his fastball and lost the ability to spot it for a bit.

You have got to be kidding me with that called third strike. This catcher tries to frame everything.

Wow. What a sweet stroke by Martin. I really think he's going to be huge for us. Kid's got a little power too.

This kid is up over 50 pitches. We should be able to toast him soon

Nah. I'm still hoping he'll heat up in the second half. I know he's working.

Yep and I know he came on in the 2nd half of last year. Naps is one of my favorites. He reminds me a little of Pete Incaviglia

Colorado was so lucky that inning. They were lucky Adrus ball took the hop off the wall it did, lucky that wild pitch didn't get farther away than it did, and lucky that Beltre's hard hit grounder didn't get through.
