I'm far from convinced that Babcock doesn't like him. I have a feeling that "Cleary on the Blue Line" will be track #4 when they release "Songs of Babcock", free with every purchase of Babsocks.

People said he liked Brooks Laich.

With a more numerically-inclined group in Toronto helping him out maybe he's more likely to not put so much faith in guys with little value outside an intangible or two only visible to Babcock himself.

Yeah but there's a lot more pressure for jobs up front too. There's more room (oh my god please don't make me use the word "opportunity"!) for something like that on the blue line.

That being said, I doubt Babcock would chain himself to the ACC doors if he's traded. It's not like he's got his head completely in the sand here.

Bob Murray needs to go too. Mason Raymond is in the Ducks top six right now. Let that sink in.

One the one hand, I feel bad for Mason as he just hasn't been the same player since suffering that back injury against the Bruins in the SCF in 2011. On the other hand, he's still managed to bank some pretty good cash despite diminishing returns.
