Maybe the personnel isn't good enough in terms of being a puck possession team? I mean, you can teach guys to do that but it might be a little bit of both - not good enough personnel for it and a coach that isn't doing a good enough job of teaching it

It could be that his style is too grinding and it gets worse because of that over time

It's funny, when Carlyle started in Anaheim, it started up and went down each year - in Toronto, it started down, went up and then went back down - maybe that shortened season was a fluke

I think he's almost definitely injured. He looks significantly less mobile than in the first half of the season. Definitely lower body, could be hip.
