I wonder if Barnes will get credit for INT?

Well boys & girls, it looks like the Pittsburgh team doctors will be emptying the medicine cabinet into Big Ben tomorrow night.

So would I, but the Chargers aren't stupid enough to let him go. Nor are the Saints stupid enough to let Brees go.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure Rivers is signed through at least 2014.

To quote Slim Pickens from Blazing Saddles, "Piss on that..."

I see the 49ers board has about 1,000 more posts than the Steelers board now... yay, we're #1... hopefully the 49ers can win Monday Night and rub their noses in it.

Welp, ESPN could not have asked for a better match-up - Pittsburgh playing to control their own destiny for the #1 seed in the AFC and us, playing to remain in control for the #2 seed in the NFC.

Hopefully the 49ers disappoint ESPN, and win.

Random notes:

Calvin Johnson is unstoppable. 214 yards & 2 TDs. He was doubled a lot too.

DHB had a great day. 155 yards & a TD.

Brees is even closer to Marino's record. However, it's not really as impressive as doing it in '84.

My boy Greg Little had a great day too. He was my favourite player, based on bang for yer buck, in the entire draft like Calalias Campbell was in '08. :(

Is John Skelton > Kevin Kolb?

Patrick Peterson is not slow.

AJ Green is not Darrell Jackson (in terms of hands).

Christian Ponder is performing exactly like I thought he would.

Cam Newton had another great game against a 1st place team this time. It's going to be interesting to see how he performs if / when the Cats get a defense and he has to play in close games. So far so bad on teh bust pick. :(

Robert Mathis had a sack today. Just sayin' 'cause he'a a FA after this season. John Abraham had 3...

Speaking of sacks: who forgot to tell the Ravens to block Antwan Barnes? 4 sacks? Wow.

Tamba Halli, Jason Babin and Muhamad Wilkerson, on the other hand, had pathetic 3 sack performances.

ahem...

we did stop Calvin Johnson for your information.....

The 49ers did, in the sense that they ended his 2 TD every game streak... but he still had like 7 catches for 100+ yards... the victory was that Stafford wouldn't throw his way in the redzone... and Willis did his thing and kept Pettigrew in check.

I really don't want to gamble on the secondary again... or gamble on Stafford playing the 49ers game and not throwing to Megatron... I'm not fool enough to say the 49ers stopped him, when they didn't even try to get him the ball in their 12+ redzone plays.... all the 49ers did was scare Stafford away from him.

I'm not trying to be the pessimist... but, I feel the 49ers only "contained" Megatron because the Lions felt Pettigrew could beat Willis instead... they won't fall for that again...
