Agreed, Schmoopy. I guess maybe Andretti will help out Hass since F-1 has essentially black-balled Andretti from F-1 perhaps permanently. Who knows. Andretti could bring alot of cash to Haas' team but we shall see. Right now, all of it is speculation.

Just Michael. Mario will have a key role in the new GM team when it joins F1.

Yea obxyankeefan. I am not sure why F-1 just flat-out hates Michael but will let Mario go about his business with the new GM team. Maybe Mario is the foundation-builder for Michael to step-in later.

One of the top guys in FIA still holds a grudge against Michael from 1994, when Michael ran a year if F1. He was one of the main things holding the deal back. Once that guy (I can't remember his name) resigned and Michael took the Andretti name off the team. The team was allowed in.

Doesn't mention the one guy, but it does state that the FIA would allow the team in if MIchael was removed.

Yea, obxyankeefan, that is what I heard by lots of rumors but now I suppose the story is true that an event occurred earlier when Michael was in F-1 driver on the Marlboro Honda team with teammate Aryton Senna that pissed-off a F-1 official who has had a grudge against Michael all these years. Some sick people in this world.

As a F-1 Driver, Michael never developed the worldwide acumen to handle the logistics and changes in racing style that racing all over the globe in F-1 brought to his daily racing approach. He was often annoyed flying across the pond trying to live at home with his new bride and yet be involved in the daily shop logistics with his team.

The flying back and forth and the associated absences that logistics caused just became burdensome and disruptive. He just couldn't or wouldn't get over the barriers that came with the travel and his full time commitment approach to just stay with the team on a daily basis became fracturing. Senna tried to help in convincing Michael that he had to have essentially two lives: One during the F-1 season and one apart AFTER the season. But those attempts at correcting a disintegrating situation just added to his frustration.

He did well but was often annoyed by F-1 officials and their petty silliness as he called it. F-1's stationary start, for example, was a major irritant and a stumbling block that slowly degraded his confidence. He was often penalized or suggested he was in over his head from the F-1 Stationary start and that just fueled a growing disgust with F-1.

After one season (1993) and 13 races of frustration, he and Marlboro Honda terminated his involvement with F-1 and he went home to CART.
