It's not just a distraction. With the way the league is coming down on criminal conduct I wouldn't be surprised if they make an example of him with a larger than warranted suspension.


It's well documented that Goodell and Reese (owner of Giants) are friends and that they have a mutual dislike for the Cowboys. Remember the fine the league handed down to Dallas and Washington in the non-salary cap year. Reese had a hand in that.


Now, with the Cowboys playing the Giants this week, it wouldn't surprise me if Reese is already on the phone with Goodell and arguing for the suspension of Randle.
