Former Cowboy Joseph Randle is arrested in Kansas.
Joseph Randle, who was cut by the Cowboys earlier this month, was arrested outside a Kansas casino Tuesday night after reportedly spitting on the floor and assaulting a security officer.
The 23-year-old running back was asked to leave the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Kan. for being too drunk, and then lost it on the way out the door, according to TMZSports.com. He was then arrested at 10:40 p.m.
Randle was taken into custody on charges including felony criminal threats, misdemeanor assault of a law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer, battery, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. He's being held on $25,000 bail.
On Nov. 3 Randle was cut by Dallas during his third year with the team. He was already facing discipline for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, stemming from his February arrest for unlawful possession of marijuana in Wichita, Kan. Police had received a call about domestic violence with a weapon after an incident with Randle and the mother of his son, and then for marijuana in his hotel room.
A few weeks ago, the Cowboys said Randle was dealing with a personal issue, with owner Jerry Jones even saying he was concerned for the player's mental health.
“I'm always concerned as to any issues regarding the [mental]health of a player," Jones said this fall. "It's a lot more serious than the football [injury].”
Randle had 820 yards on 181 carries and nine touchdowns during his time with the Cowboys.
