Rams lose Pead with ACL

St. Louis Rams running back Isaiah Pead is likely out for the season after suffering a freak injury in the Rams' 21-7 loss to the Packers on Saturday. Pead was returning a kickoff in the first quarter when he appeared to injure his knee after planting his foot awkwardly.

Pead wasn't touched on the play and he was carted to the Rams locker room. Rams coach Jeff Fisher said after the game that the team believes Pead is done for the season. "It appears we've lost Isaiah with an ACL," Fisher said.

The third-year running back was fourth on the Rams' depth chart behind Zac Stacy, Benny Cunningham and Tre Mason.

Since being selected in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft, Pead has carried the ball a total of 17 times for 75 yards in his two seasons with St. Louis.

Don't wish injury to anyone, but this has to be one of Jeff Fisher's biggest draft disappointments. Remember Jeffrey Alshon? I wish Jeff Fisher did. He's look good in a Ram uni instead of Isiah Pead. Makes me ill thinking about it.

Yea TEB. I hear you on this one. Snisher bit the hog in the butt on that Pead draft. Jones and Givens might be two more joining that list. Givens production has tailed way off and Jones is out for the season with back surgery. This is the second year in-a-row that Barrett Jones has not played a down of NFL football. This is not looking good in light of all the players we passed over to find these gems.

Bummer, don't like to anyone get hurt and possibly be on the streets before camp is over. Hope he finds another team to land on next year. He deserves a fresh start.

Good news for him is he will land on IR and get paid. Obviously he'd rather play but at least he's making money.
