You also have to admit that he has fallen off by QUITE a bit.

IMO no one trades for him. Or if they do it will be a swap of late round picks that really doesnt amount to anything.

Just to give you an idea about 1) How good he was and 2) How far he has fallen.

In his best season, he caught 75% of the balls thrown his way and on average he was getting 13.4 yards per reception.
Last year he caught only 67% of the balls thrown his way and on average he was getting only 10.6 yards per reception.

Last years numbers are very pedestrian. Certainly not worthy of a $20M a year contract. Why I would be shocked if someone actually agreed to take on his contract.
Kupp would’ve had over 1000 yards receiving had he played in all 17 games, that’s better than pedestrian. He’s dropped off some but he’s still a good receiver, injuries are the main concern with him

Think he's only done that once in his career (played all 17 games) so won't count on that to happen again. Has slowed down, injuries are more of a concern, a real pro who learned to master the position but declining physically. It's a "if the price is right" situation, as he can still be useful for another year maybe more. He's making to much for what he contributes, so that's a problem.
I'm a fan of players like Kupp who treat his job like a professional, hope it works out for him.

This is huge, he’s a great reciever, I wonder why the Rams want to trade him? I’ve heard rumors that Stafford may retire, I wonder if the Rams are looking to rebuild perhaps?

His production has declined, he is injury prone and hasn't played a full season in 3 years. He can still run routes but can't separate as well as he use too.

Me too.
These guys were a dime a dozen back in the day.
Now the game is just entertainment value.

The NFL is following the NBA.
what could go wrong?
Load management by week 2. NBA terms by the 5th game.

Spotrac has somewhat clarified the numbers discrepancy with overthecap. Essentially Kupp is guaranteed $5M in either roster bonus or salary. (Spotrac says $5M of the roster bonus is guaranteed whilst overthecap says $5M of the salary is guaranteed, but I doubt it will matter). Kupp is due a $7.5M roster bonus 5 days into the new NFL year. No-one values Kupp at $20M or above. I don't believe the Rams think Kupp is worth $12.5M so they will want him gone before the $7.5M roster bonus date. That way they only lose the guaranteed $5M. If another team values Kupp in excess of $15M the Rams will be willing to pay whatever is left of the $20M total in excess of the trading team's valuation, (and swap future 7th round picks along with Kupp). If no team is willing to take Kupp at $15M I expect him to be cut. There are pluses and minuses to cutting him with a Post June 1 designation which make that option a very marginal decision.
