With Brockers and Littleton money we may end up with Fowler which I would not have guessed two weeks hence. The new DC has some input here but the guy they should have kept was Littleton.
I think either Fowler or Littleton would be good to keep. Fowler has had a good career since he got traded to the Rams. Figured Brockers was always going to be the odd man out.
Talk is they are letting Littleton go and are trying to re-sign Fowler. Brockers is headed to Baltimore to play with his buddy Peters. So be it. Blythe is getting no interest. GB and the Raiders have a huge stiffy for Littleton so he'll be gone as well.

Also Gurley and Cooks are being shopped. They may even cut Gurley outright. Sort of what the Vikings did with Joseph.
Cutting Gurley wouldn’t be bad, just don’t know how much it’d hurt us against the cap. I have no problem with Cooks but if we can get something decent for him, I’d have no problem getting rid of him either.

Yea UVA. I agree Brockers was headed out and he'll be on a pretty stout D-line with recently acquired Calais Campbell both of whom are on the downside of their careers. Littleton is gone as well. The Rams are screwing the pooch on that one. Fowler is the guy they will try to keep. If all three go, we are going to be somewhat of in a rebuild mode to a more of a Fazio D than a Phillips one.

Exactly

Look how long it took to replace Fletcher when they let him go.

Fowler’s play is not consistent, Littleton’s is

damn..... damn...and damn again.... I would have liked the Rams to keep Brockers around and Littleton: so now that means we have no capable LBs on the roster, 1stud DLineman, no 1st round pick. This front 7 may end up being terribly shitty, that 4-3 defense is looking mighty good right now.

Can’t believe they couldn’t find the money to keep Littleton

I’m starting to question McVay/Snead and their priority to keep Fowler over Littleton.

Littleton has been way more consistent than Fowler. Fowler disappears a lot in games. Littleton does not.

Plus, I guarantee Fowler is going to cost more than Littleton

Brockers was good in run D too, according to AD and other reports.. So Brockers gone, Littleton gone and now the rams will probably over pay for fowler whom i don't think is that great against the run. Again who is going to play LB? Please don't tell me we are putting our eggs in Micah Kiser...sorry but not sold.

And now we decline the option on Nickel Robey-Coleman... Boy, we better have a plan here because so far I'm not seeing it.

Trying to cut costs to sign Ramsey long term? :noidea:

We definitely should’ve waited to talk to Goff about a contract extension because his and Gurley’s contracts are killers against the cap.

The Rams really screwed up by extending Gurley and Goff before it was necessary.

It put the in cap restraint. Gurley clearly has issues with his knees to the point they are trying to trade him for peanuts or release him outright.

As a result, key members of the team have to go elsewhere to get paid.

They only player that has been extended that is worth his contract is Donald.

Cooks, Gurley and Goff are way overpaid, and that has put them in cap he’ll when they didn’t need to be had they waited to do the extensions at the appropriate time.

Loved Brockers and Littleton but we need a cheaper option at NT and a bigger dude at 320-330 imo. Littleton was a solid LB but not great, especially against the run. Hopefully Kiser can stay healthy and we can strike gold again

good luck to them both

Bucs are interested in Gurley and Cooks, bye guys

Gurley I could see. Cooks I’m doubtful of because they are loaded at WR. But if it’s a throw in for more picks I’m fine with it. Hate to see Gurley go but he’s making too much even though he’s earned it.

If Brady goes to the Bucs, look for Cooks to be traded and it may be as high as a second. Losing Littleton to keep Fowler was just plain stupid. Somebody named McVay is becoming stupid boy again but the new DC is driving a lot of this. Kiser and Oko are the new LBs. And we may go to the 4-3 as well even when McVay stated earlier that they would stick with the 3-4.
