If McVay can take a Goff and completely revamp him into a winner in one season, I suspect he may do the same with the little turd but McVay is going to have to toughen this bastard up way more.

Maybe he'll get the toughening he needs playing against Talib and Peters everyday in practice. Or maybe McVay should have Suh come over to the secondary and rough the little bastard up several times a day to ween him off of stepping out of bounds after the catch!!

This pretty much explains the updated version of the state of the Rams. There are many mini-articles about FA and the budget. Austin is either going to be a decent receiver come hell or high water and McVay is going to make the little turd earn his money at least to the point where they can cut his weak ass without taking a cap hit.

Also, Webster is coming off Achilles surgery and he apparently is not fully recovered. He is not going anywhere because no team is going to sign a player with his physical state which is basically a reduction in speed, stop and starting, and cutting. He'll get healthy and I surmise that we may see him back at the end of this season and moreso in 2019. This is something similar to the Steadman Bailey situation.

Exactly RR, and we've all heard about how this is a 'make or break, all in year' about our Rams (And I've said 'all in' just not the the make or break aspect) with so many contracts needing attention in the near term.

But really, what did we give up for Suh and Peters?

As @SJ76 would say a bag of Cheetos, or one very low draft pick.

So for all of us playing along, those two aren't part of our long term plans if they don't pan out, right?

They just give us a greater chance of winning this year and complicate things next year if they play well.

Then again, if they both play well and so do the others either getting deals soon or gobble up a good portion of our $100M Cap space next year, we likely are SB Champs or at the very least in the Big Game to some degree.

If that should happen, we should get some options on team friendly deals, Suh comes to mind. Either getting multiple SB rings or a realistic chance at one makes me think these situations are very optimistic.

Here is the latest spin that Snead is putting on the Sammy Watkins debacle as Snead admits they made choice that sort of backfired when they couldn't or wouldn't meet the contract that Sammy signed with the Chiefs. Snead admits that they sacrificed the second rounder and E.J. Gaines but the deal wasn't a total loss as he explains in this article.

The 2 potential 3rd round comps will help mitigate the loss of the 2nd rounder they gave up for Peters.

And assuming they get a 3rd for losing Sammy, when all is said and done, they would've essentially given up an early 3rd rounder and Gaines for a 1 year rental of Watkins who helped the Rams win the NFCW.

I'd take that trade any day because if the Rams don't win the NFCW and have a losing season, there is no way Suh signs with the Rams.
