Turner, Young and Verse were great but Fiske was a beast against the Hags. They are eventually going to be a force to be reckoned with in the near and further future.
And should only get a lot better gaining more experience together. Crazy, how they are already a force to be reckon with. And we were worried about not being able to compete on the defensive line without him.Very young defense, theres going to be mistakes, unfortunately seems to be a lot and usually at bad times, Verse gets a couple sacks, penalty!
3nd and 26 give up 30 yard play, 2nd and 20 give up 20??
against Seattle gave up 7-9 plays of over 20 yards, thats unacceptable!! then they turn around and make some good plays< its something we will have to put up with this year, but they do seem to be getting better!!
Rozeboom actually played pretty well last night.Agreed, we just need to fix the ILB problem and we may be okay...
That is really good with Stafford getting older....And should only get a lot better gaining more experience together. Crazy, how they are already a force to be reckon with. And we were worried about not being able to compete on the defensive line without him.
The Defense does look great. However the one thing the Rams had to do before last season started was put together a deep mean ass O-Line that could weather injuries to protect Stafford. After last season I thought they did a pretty good job at it. After last night I have my doubts.
I still say that Stafford isn't right. He rarely seems to hit receivers in stride. If they're open, the WR's usually have to adjust which leads to less yards or a broken up pass and that's if he even sees the guy at all.
1 game, he played good but has shit the bed in the rest... he still needs to be replaced. One good game doesn't dispel the fact that he is not a good LB.Rozeboom actually played pretty well last night.
It's bone headed moves like that which is why he has been labeled McDipshit. Team makes some strides only to fall 2 steps back the next week.Any QB is only as good as his Offensive line and this Rams O-Line has been beat up. I realize that. However McVay says there was "No continuity" in the line. Well okay then don't start two linemen fresh off IR over the o-line that beat the Seahawks just last week. Bad decisions.
The Wrs aren't getting much separation so I've seen often Stafford has to buy some time to get them open. Tutu should help with that but once again, he is under utilized. They're not getting much separation, so to some degree he's throwing them open IMO.
McVay needs to go back to the play action and jet sweeps that made this offense run in past games/years. Expecting to win on Stafford's back playing hero ball most of the game isn't a great plan.
