The argument about the flag and troops is a red herring; a distraction from the actual topic at hand.

Former Green Beret Nate Boyer actually advised Kaep to switch from sitting on the bench to kneeling, as that is what soldiers do to show respect for a fallen brother.

Here's how Nate Boyer got Colin Kaepernick to go from sitting to kneeling

And my point is that the topic at hand shouldn't be protesting the american flag or the anthem. Write an album like NWA or find another object to protest besides something that is the focal point of our freedom on what makes this country much different from so many around the globe. It's basic respect for so many people that put their life out there, not a cop on a night shift.

Kaepernick is/was an attention whore. If want you to dog cops, go for it. But don't bring your beef to the national anthem.

How about 2 rookie RBs leading the NFL so far. And this doesn't include the top pick Fournette or McCaffrey.

Dramatic.

And I love tiki torches. Bob Marley too.

Speaking of Bob Marley.... have you ever heard the 4 disk Songs Of Freedom box set? I bought it back in '94, but I had to rebuy the disks a few years ago because they were so scratched up(from college).... Excellent set!!!

Man 1994 was one of my favorite years. Yeah I think at one time I had this but it was a fuzzy blur for me after '94. College happened

I think Trump's Pro-American stance for the flag and anthem is admirable. Most people have respect for the flag and what it stands for, but when we focus on a few bad cops things go to shit. The president tweeting is where he loses the message and doesn't help things a bit.

Kroenke's message was actually good. It was positive, focusing on the positive and standing together.
I just think as a customer, I shouldn't have to be drawn into anyone's agenda other than Professional Football.

Imagine if you paid to watch a movie, and somewhere in there was some actor's favorite cause bringing your attention away from what you paid for & what you were there to be entertained by, especially if their message was viewed as an insult to something you cared for deeply.

These players can use their celebrity as their platform, which would require them to do more work than the given choice at the expense of the paying customers who may have a very different opinion as to what their actions represent.

So for me, I see this as a lazy, in your face attempt for them to bring 'their enlightenment', or fast track if you will by using controversy as their vehicle of choice, than to use their celebrity & do more work to get the attention desired.

If it is worthy, it should stand on it's own merit without displaying a show of disrespect for what so many Americans respect to the utmost.

It's shameful to use the paying customers time to reach the masses for a players chosen cause, and goes against most every market segment's workforce policies of conduct.

For me it's a breach of trust for these owners to deliver a product that is not free from messages of the so-called taboos of politics & religion.

Leave the third taboo of sex though, you gotta love them cheerleaders....

There are plenty of talk shows the players can get paid to go on and present their case. They are going to kill the hand that feeds them as fan groups are beginning to form to include removing the statute of Ray Lewis outside the Baltimore stadium as well as many levels of boycotting games and sponsors. We shall see how this plays out.

The Rams are one of two teams that have no formal protest planned for this week's game or future games. Although they have stated as a group they respect other teams for their protests, they are not going to join them. Good for them. My respect for them has increased as well.

Rams and Dallas on TV Sunday!!!!!
I've been on that bus, and met that dude in the video a few times! He is cool peeps, but actually my buddy and I got to know the guys niece pretty well last year tailgating before the Dallas game of all games.. She was a very cute young lady who lives up North. (I believe she said San Francisco) They had this huge cake and a bunch large cookies all with Rams logos on them, and after the game they had so much left they were handing them both out to whoever wanted some.

I saw him there for every home game I got to (Almost all of them) but the Dudes niece o my made it down for that inaugural preseason game last year.

With the history of the Rams in LA being more recent and the fact they are doing quite well with McVay and company orchestrating a new winning team so far, this is the inevitable result of a team without a home and certainly one not in LA.

After everything was said in done during all the relocation stuff, the Chargers (especially Spanos) were definitely the ones that came out looking the worst. During their now completed three game homestand, it seems like the away team always had a much more vocal fan base. Even if they were to somehow able to move back to San Diego and agree to a new stadium deal, how many fans have they lost down there during their move to Los Angeles?
