You think the Skins blame him for the bad safety play? It looks like we are going with the duo of Wilson/Biggers for FS. He didn't get a defensive snap against the Raiders. I can see Haslett putting him out there against the Cowboys, Bears, and Broncos. I thought I saw Pugh out there when we gave up that TD. Did anyone else see that?

I think the coaches probably seen how bad he has been at tackling, but that's the majority of the defense. I was disappointed seeing him on the sideline for the game. Seeing Pugh out there, when he gave up that TD was a head-scratcher.

Actually Merriweather played FS all day and Doughty played SS. Biggers came in on the spread package when we were running with 4 CBs Wilson was the #3 CB and Pugh was a rotational guy subbing for Merriweather or Doughty.

Rambo is is the dog house big time right now.

Honeybadger's talent was never questioned. His ethic and integrity were and are.

Washington was not the right place for him.

It makes you wonder if Thomas was healthy this year that Rambo could of been released.

Rambo may still be a good football player but he has a lot to learn. The coaching staff saw things they liked but the kid was running around in circles and getting caught out of position too often.

Meanwhile Reed Doughty keeps on going and going. What is it 8 or 9 years now?

I agree with you, needs more time to make the adjustment and understand where he needs to be. The tackling has to be improved. I'm sure we'll see him again this season. We don't have many options.

I know....right? The epitome of journeyman. We usually end up seeing him every game, rain or shine.

He certainly isn't the most athletic guy we have had out there and there are some plays he simply can't make. But he has been as solid as most of the clowns we have had (or tried to put) back there in recent years.

What do you expect for a 5th rd draft pick? Maybe if we didn't keep giving away all our draft picks we wouldn't have to hope lowly picks can all actually play at 1st string level so soon if at all.

Agree with your take on Rambo & he is a rookie so he may get better over time - we will see. Don't agree about your take on draft picks. This regime does actually value draft picks for the most part. Beyond their initial mistake of trading for McNabb they have done a good job in this area.

Obviously - the only real trade involving picks after that was for RG3 & that is a trade they had to make & I would make it again & again.

rambo is a 6th round pick who was rushed on the field too soon . no need to get down on him . he still has a chance to start or be a good BU for us .

Hmmm! You obviously didn't see this guy play, while he was at UGA. The primary reason why he slid in the draft was his off-field issues. He got suspended for substance abuse, twice. If not for that, he'd have been a 2nd rounder at the worst.

Problem is, we dont have the players to cover up his lack of ability when it comes to open field tackles. Rambo is a coverage Safety, but he just wasnt ready for this level. Maybe he will get better and earn his starting role. But from what we have seen so far, he should NOT be starting.

Agreed! We don't have the players. We all saw this foreshadow, when he whiffed against Chris Johnson in the preseason. I think he does have to work hard and earn his job. He obviously was not ready. He shouldn't be starting. I really think he is talented and will get better. Just not at this juncture.

bring him in on certain blitz packages (since he can cover very well ) and build from there
