Riley's presence on the Redskins defense wouldn't make any difference imo. Both he and Robinson (the only defensive player I've ever seen Tom Brady take down by himself) were just as big a pile of hot garbage as Compton and Foster.

It is interesting that that its the Raiders. As they also snagged Amerson and according PFF. He's mad enoticale improvement since becoming a Raider.

Riley would not have made one iota of a difference on our defense. Did he ever make a big play during his tenure here? The only difference between him and who we have now was his price tag. IF you are going to pay for crap, try and pay the least amount possible.

Are you going to do this every time some ex-Redskin signs w/ another team? This is ridiculous. Riley is a marginal player & at times was pretty bad. He certainly is not a difference maker to the extent that he would make the current Redskins defense significantly better.

Let it go - players move around in the NFL all the time & (as Skinsdad alluded to) it is quite often money related. Ultimately the Redskins will survive the loss of Riley.

Oh no - I don't take offense to the post - just pointing out that it is a waste of time. Like I said players move around all of the time. We should all just look forward & stop over analyzing what happens to former players especially in the case of someone like Riley who was marginal at best.

i think at this point you have to look at spaight and cravens (when he is healthy ) and move away from foster and compton

again the draft might help this out

I would say we have to ensure Compton and Foster know what their responsibilities are. If Spaight is worthy, please give him a shot. Cravens will have his.

Riley was piss poor in coverage foremost. Never really made any big plays on defense and a step to slow. Glad he is gone and would much rather have kept Robinson over Compton or Foster. I have said this many times but we have ST players starting on defense and that can't happen. There are also no really good ILB in next years draft that would come in and start so imo, we need to start looking around the league to see what's available, now. A trade could help some this year and into next year.
