They want BB on the Jets or Giants.

I am still stunned that BB will be left without a coaching job this year. I have to believe that BB himself is beyond stunned. That guy's ego won't let him be anything else.

I could see it happening for him next year. He's got a big connection with the NY area through the Parcells years.

The NYG or the NYJ could be in the market for BB if Daboll has another down year (likely) or Saleh misses/loses-early the playoffs with Rogers (less likely). I could see him landing in either city for the 2025 season.

Honestly, I wonder what the hold up was for BB this year. Was it is chosen/expected offensive staff? Was it his demand for personnel control (if any)? Was it really his age?

I'll bet that his hiring of Patricia to be the OC a year ago really hurt his reputation in team circles. It speaks to a crazy-level of hubris.

I've already made similar comments about Pete Carroll on a Seahawks board. Owners want young offensive HCs. If you're 70+ in the NFL you have to keep winning 'cause once you're out you're out. The best way back in is to get another HC job in a lower league and prove the NFL owners wrong. Shanahan Sr. and Fisher sat out. They're still sitting out.

My first reaction to this hire is not good - why did the Falcons not hire Morris permanently 3 years ago? I don’t think Arthur Blank knows what he’s doing. I have no real reason to believe Morris will succeed in ATL given their current situation.
That being said I’m glad it’s not Belichick, Belichick wanted too much control over the roster it seems, and he didn’t do a good job with the roster in NE the last few years and I don’t think he would’ve been the right fit for the Falcons. And he’s never won anything without Brady.

It will depend now on who Morris brings in as an O.C. Atlanta still needs a QB as well unless the new O.C. somehow thinks he can make it work with Ridder. If that happens, this may be a short tenure for Raheem.
