People do it though. I know people have said before they just get worn out from investing so much time into it all and then seeing the team let them down like that.

Yeah I see your point. I do feel like i've invested a lot of fucking time. I mean jesus pouring over article after article day after day year after year. It's unhealthy. And when there's no payoff, I could half expect someone to snap. That game could have torn the strongest of husker fan hearts to shreds so I guess I understand if that's his reason.
