You give the Ravens a full year of Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs and Ray Lewis and they are not ranked as low as 17th in anything.

The Haden missed 5 games and Ward missed 2 of those. As you said with Arizona, get a better QB in there and that defense will not have to be on the field as much.

SF has a great defense. SEA came out of no where. Arizona and St. Louis are not as good as the numbers say.

We can agree to disagree I suppose.

Seattle was a top 10 defense last year, they didn't come out of no where. And Baltimore won't have Lewis next year, and very possibly not Reed.

And that is laughable. Both of them had really good defenses with very little offense. Fisher will have that a yearly top 10 defense and Arizona has been a good defense for the past few years.

Reed will be back for at least one more year, I guarantee it. I am pulling a June on you here.

Maybe it just seems to me like they came out of no where because they were never talked about last year like they are this year.

Ravens will probably be drafting Vacarro, Reid or Elam in the first round this year anyways.

None of those guys are Reed. And Baltimore has more holes than just S. That defense just plane wasn't very good this year.

The numbers and the eye test really only back one of those.

Time to get out of the past. Neither Baltimore nor Pittsburgh are as physical as they have been in the past. Not even close.

The NFC West is by far more physical than the AFC North. Seattle and SF are probably the most physical teams in the league. Arizona and St. Louis aren't slouches either.

So even if that was the case this year, I will conceed that, being the second toughest division in football out of 8 is not bad, is it?

I think the AFC North fits right in with the NFC East and North after the NFC West.

So maybe they BARLEY got it for this year and I still thinks debatable...Stats are good but its the eye test for me and Cincy, Pitt and Bmore hit WAY harder than the NFC West...We can agree to disagree...

We also have placed 3 top 10 defenses in 3 of the last 4 years...Where does NFC West rate over the past 4 with us????? :)

1 year is not a good sample size actually...But I still think AFC North overall is WAY more physical...Stats look good but on the eye test Pitt, Bmore and Cincy WILL PUNCH YO ASS IN THE MOUTH! And Cleveland will sneak you in the back of the head then when you turn around they may punch you in the nose...LOL

Your eyes apparently need glasses. The eye test says the NFC West is FAR more physical overall. Even their offenses with Lynch, Gore, Jackson and Wells. SEA is the most physical team in the NFL with SF a close 2nd.
