Someones thoughts on Jones: (feedback anyone)?

Jarvis Jones, Georgia - The 6-foot-3, 240 pound outside linebacker was one of the more productive linebackers in the nation in each of the past two years. He is elite in terms of run defense and good to great as a pass rusher. He has above average but not elite athleticism and is above average in terms of coverage. He is a top ten prospect in terms of play on the field but there is a small chance he drops in round one because of a severe back condition that he has had since his early college days. If that proves to be a potential issue in the NFL, his stock could fall similarly to Da'Quan Bowers from two years ago.

He will be a top 5 pick more than likely and absolutely no way he drops out of the top 10.

No way Jones in on the IR by week 8. That is an absolutely stupid statement. This kid is the best player in the draft. Hands down.

You are a moron. This division, especially on the offensive side of the ball is no where near the most physical in football. He has played against NFL lineman from Alabama, LSU and plenty of other places all through his college career and has had absolutely no problems.

THe Packers had something liek 18 people on IR a couple years ago, that must mean that the NFC North is the most physical division right?

Wait Tom Brady had never been hurt until he tore his knee up, so the AFC East must be the most physical division right?

I agree with this quote. IR players are silly way to describe the phyicallity of a division, but I think Jwil's premise still stands true that this is the most physical defensive division (OVERALL) in football. Are there defenses more physical that others in our division, sure there are, but I think overall, this has to be the top division with potentially 4 teams capable of making the top 10 list in defense this next year in 2013.

NO! It means those schmucks dont stay healthy! whats their workout regimen...What does strength and training have them doing??? sometimes it just bad luck... We still are the most physical...name another division who places 3 in the top 10???

Granted.

If Jarvis Jones falls to us in the 1st round, for F sake, Mike Brown and Marvin Lewis better have the f'n card ready to hand in incase the team above us is 1 second late.

I would take Jones in a heartbeat, I just posted this tid bit because I had never heard of him having a back injury. he sure doesn't play like he has a back injury. Kid is lights out. Same with Manti T'eo. However, that championship game reminded me a whole lot of Maualuga and that just scares the sheet out of me.

I would actually argue very hard that we don't have the most physical division. I'd say that goes to the NFC West.

If we are going by ppg then the divisions look like this SEA #1, SF #2, STL #14, ARI # 17, AVG 8.5
PITT # 6, CIN #8, BAL #12, CLE #19, AVG 11.25

If we are going by ypg then the divisions look like this: SF #3, SEA #4, ARI #12, STL #14, AVG 8.25
PITT #1, CIN #6, BAL #17, CLE # 23, AVG 11.75

Because it doesn't affect him at all.

Crap ton of injuries this year in our division. I would argue, HEALTHY, those numbers would be a lot closer and probably give the AFC North the edge.

I think that NFC West is better. You give Arizona a decent QB and that defense isn't on the field as much and is top 10.

You give the Ravens a full year of Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs and Ray Lewis and they are not ranked as low as 17th in anything.

The Haden missed 5 games and Ward missed 2 of those. As you said with Arizona, get a better QB in there and that defense will not have to be on the field as much.

SF has a great defense. SEA came out of no where. Arizona and St. Louis are not as good as the numbers say.

We can agree to disagree I suppose.
